„FOR SALE“ is a site-specific series of 3 performances in which Alicia Velazquez invites to explore the worth of art and possible modes of exchange between artist and audience. Art, artist, space, street and audience are simultaneously consumers, producers and products. Expectations, positions and value circulate across the thin surface of a glass through which the game of roles in art is served for consumption.

Während der Performance entsteht in einem Liveact ein Gemälde, das von der Künstlerin mit Fiilzstiften auf die Scheibe gemalt wird. Das Gemälde wird nach Fertigstellung abgewischt von der Künstlerin. Die Filzstifte werden von der Kuratorin
zusammen mit einer Geldbox an die Zuschauer auf der Strasse verteilt mit der Aufforderung "Entweder Geld oder malen".
